I'm still slightly rubbing my eyes in disbelief at Wednesday's antics. Chelsea resigning David Luiz was a bit like your mate coupling back up with his ex despite spending the last two years talking about how much of a bitch she is. The Brazilian explained why he turned up sporting a black baseball cap.
Luiz was signed by PSG for £50 million a couple of season ago leading to the whole footballing world to applaud Chelsea for somehow selling the former Benfica defender for so much money. However that acclaim disappeared when they spent £34 million(ish) to bring him back to Stamford Bridge on Wednesday.
After the French league champions turned Chelsea's first offer down the 29 year old did eventually arrive at Stamford Bridge via a short trip on the Eurotunnel and made his first reappearance for his new old club in a backward facing black baseball cap, as if he'd transferred from the 90s rather than France:
And Luiz took to Instagram to explain to his 'geezers,' that's apparently what he calls everyone, that it was a loving tribute to his dad, how nice:
