One of the rare positive aspects of behind-closed-doors international football without any fans is hearing players badly butchering the national anthem.

With no supporters belting it out from the stands, you get a special insight into which footballers would get through to 'Judges' Houses' and who would be sent home.

Portugal skipper Cristiano Ronaldo has gone viral on social media after putting his own spin on Portugal's anthem "A Portuguesa" ahead of the 1-0 defeat to France last night.

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner was singing the tune as normal when he decided to add a "tan tan tan" and drew laughs from his teammates.

The video of Ronaldo's musical talents has blown up on social media, with Bernardo Silva's reaction in particular getting a lot of love.

In addition to his the national anthem, Ronaldo has given a proud rendition of the Champions League theme on occasion.

Most footballers hold back as the anthem rings out, hiding a smile with a stereotypical 'don't let anybody see you're actually enjoying this moment' face.

But Ronaldo, the all-time top scorer in Champions League history, absolutely embraces.

As you can see in the footage below from a game against Spurs in 2017, he burst into "THE CHAMPIONS!" in a way that everybody who loves Champions League football can relate to.

A month back, England fans couldn't help but notice the awful singing from members of Gareth Southgate's squad ahead of the 3-0 win over Wales.

With no fans present, we heard the likes of Jack Grealish, Danny Ings, Michael Keane, Nick Pope and Kieran Trippier being terribly off key and out of tune.
