Cristiano Ronaldo gave his shirt to a young fan at the end of Ireland vs Portugal - despite already promising it to teenager goalkeeper Gavin Bazunu.
The two sides played out a 0-0 draw in their World Cup qualifier and it was Ireland's first contest in Dublin since before the pandemic.
Following the game, a girl decided to go on the Aviva Stadium turf and meet her idol Ronaldo despite stewards being close.
The Manchester United man gave the visibly emotional youngster a hug and his shirt, before she then reached in for another hug.
Cameras then captured Bazunu in the background, who appeared to be the only one in the stadium feeling a little let down.
It's thought Ronaldo promised the Portsmouth shotstopper his shirt.
Fans have reacted to the incident and while they're happy one supporter got to go home happy, they can't help but feel for Bazunu.
Bazunu managed to save a Ronaldo penalty when the sides last clashed in September and the 19-year-old is regarded as a top prospect for the future.
On the pitch this evening, Pepe was sent off for two bookable offences, the second seeing him catch Callum Robinson in the face with a flailing arm.
A draw means Portugal only need to avoid defeat against Serbia on Sunday to top the group.
