Joey Barton's stint at Ibrox with Rangers looks to be coming to an end, with the midfielder signed off with "stress" and set to receive a pay-out from the club on his way out.
What would the next move be for Barton then?
Burnley are one of the clubs linked with the headline-dominating player, Barton played a pivotal role in the club's Championship-winning season where they were promoted to the top tier, but he opted to move to Rangers.

It's fair to say the move to Glasgow hasn't exactly worked out, with Barton suspended by the club for an incident in training with teammate Andy Halliday and then being investigated by the SFA for allegedly betting on football matches.
Could the 34-year old finds himself back at Turf Moor? Burnley boss Sean Dyche remains a huge admirer of Barton following his contributions in the 2015/16 campaign.
He refused to rule out a Burnley return for Barton when posed the question a month ago. He referred to Barton as "top class" and "exemplary".

If his head is in the right place like it was at Burnley, a host of clubs would surely take a point on Barton. Do you think he could return to the Premier League anytime soon?
