When it was announced that Pep Guardiola would be succeeding him as Manchester City manager, many people believed that Manuel Pellegrini was in line to take over another Premier League club at the end of his tenure at the Etihad Stadium. However, the Premier League winning manager has decided to make an unexpected move to the Chinese Super League, instead.
Chelsea, Everton and even Manchester United were all touted as possible destinations for the former Real Madrid boss, but it has been confirmed that Hebei Fortune will be his next project, where he will manage the likes of Ezequiel Lavezzi, Gervinho and former Chelsea prospect Gael Kakuta.
