Borussia Dortmund could be about to launch a bid for Jobe Bellingham, Jude's younger brother who currently plays for Birmingham City.

The 16-year-old has been impressing at youth level for years, following in the footsteps of his sibling - who also started his career at St Andrews.

While he is yet to make his first-team debut for the West Midlands club, Jobe has appeared on the bench a handful of times this season in the Carabao Cup.

According to German outlet Bild, Borussia Dortmund will swoop for the young Bellingham, partially in a bid to keep Jude at the club for a few more years.

Bellingham moved to Germany last summer, having already established himself in Birmingham City's first team. Fifteen months after making the move, the 18-year-old is a fully-fledged England international and one of Dortmund's best performers.

With this in mind, the Black and Yellows are likely to do all they can to keep a hold of their prized young asset, who is already turning heads with some dazzling displays both domestically and in Europe.

The boy from Stourbridge is widely expected to return to English football at some point, possibly to follow in the footsteps of Jadon Sancho who made a similar switch from BVB to Manchester United this summer.

However, if Marco Rose's side can land Jobe, there's a belief among the club's hierarchy that his elder brother might just be persuaded to stay put for a while longer.

Unlike his sibling, Jobe is mainly utilised as a winger, blessed with pace and an eye for goal.

So far this season he has scored three goals in five games for Birmingham's Under 18 side, as well as being named on the bench for the first team's two Carabao Cup ties against Colchester United and Fulham.

Whether the Bundesliga giants decide to make a move or not remains to be seen, but with the likes of Liverpool reportedly keen on signing Jude, his current employers will seemingly do all they can to convince the dynamic midfielder to stay.
