Arsenal's Mesut Ozil is a defenders worst nightmare as the German starlet can thread a ball through any water-tight defence so when he holds a defender in high regards you know they're a special talent.
The 28-year-old claims his former teammate Sergio Ramos is the best defender in the world. "For me, he is maybe the best defender in the world."

As well as his defending prowess, the Spaniard also has a fine voice. "Good relationship, good guy, good personality and good singer. He has a really nice voice."
Who knew?!
The pair have struck up a good bond, too. If calling him the best defender in the world wasn't enough, Ozil names Ramos as his best friend in football as they still remain in contact.

"My best friend is Sergio Ramos, I'm still in contact with him."
Meanwhile, with the international stage taking centre stage this week, Arsenal fans will be glad to hear that Ozil has been omitted from the national squad so he can rest.
Joachim Low's side are involved in a World Cup qualifier then a tasty friendly against Italy.
