It's fair to say Arsenal and Chile don't see eye-to-eye but Alexis Sanchez's national team have handed a huge boost to Arsene Wenger and the Arsenal faithfuls alike.
Sanchez starred as Chile beat Uruguay in a World Cup Qualifier last month despite suffering a hamstring injury which left Wenger ruing the "suicidal decision."
Creating a somewhat of a fraction between the two sets of camps. But Chile announced their squad for the China Cup, and to the joy of Arsenal, there is no Sanchez.
It appeared they were set to lock horns again after Chile confirmed their participation in the China Cup.
Croatia and Iceland alongside Chile as well as host China will compete in the China Cup with games to be played between January 10th-15th.
Needless to say, the animal that Sanchez is, he wanted to play every game but the news of Arsenal's influential attacker being left out of the squad will no doubt come as a sigh of relief to the Gunners, from the gaffer to the fans, who were fearing the 27-year-old was getting burned out.
