It may have only been against Qatar but Arsenal new boy Thomas Partey was seriously impressive on international duty with Ghana.

The Black Stars ran out 5-1 winners on Monday evening and Partey, a £45 million signing from Atletico Madrid on deadline day, looked the absolute part.

Partey registered two assists in the game, setting up teammate teammates Andre Ayew and Samuel Owusu, and his highlights from the game have got Arsenal supporters in the mood for when he makes his debut in red.

Sitting deep in midfield, the 27-year-old dictated the game with a superb range of passing - looking incredibly comfortable as he popped the ball off left, right and centre.

His assist from Owusu was undoubtedly the highlight. In the 65th minute, he threaded through a glorious, defence-splitting pass for the 24-year-old to latch onto and finish smartly.

The thought of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang receiving this sort of service is an exciting one for Gunners fans, who got a bit giddy on social media.

Meanwhile, the player's father has revealed that Partey waited patiently for Arsenal's approach after receiving interest from Chelsea and Juventus.

"We actually weren't disturbed by anything because we hoped a bigger team will come," Jacob Partey told My Joy Online.

We were aware of the [other teams that were interested]: Juventus, Chelsea and so forth. So through all of this we knew God was with us. From that minute we started to dance to 'Party after Party'."
