Antoine Griezmann is one step closer to completing his dream move to Barcelona after agreeing to a five-year deal.

According to French newspaper L'Équipe (via Marca), the Atlético Madrid superstar will pocket €17m per year once his move is finalised.

But Barcelona will hold off on completing the transfer as they wait for the French World Cup winner's release clause to drop from €200m to €120m on 1st July.

Los Rojiblancos are keen to negotiate Nelson Semedo, 25, as part of a deal for Griezmann.

But the La Liga champions will rule out any deal for the Portuguese full-back and will move ahead with triggering Griezmann's release clause.

The Atlético forward, 28, confirmed that he would leave the Wanda Metropolitano after five years with the club.

Barcelona have been the favourites to snap up Griezmann, but he has also attracted interest from Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United and Manchester City.

And Atlético CEO Miguel Ángel Gil Marín confirmed earlier this month that the Spanish club would make a move for the France international.

"I am very clear about where he is going to play -- it is known since March -- at Barcelona," he told Radioestadio.

Griezmann also admitted that he has known which club he would be heading to this summer.

"I know where I will be playing next season," he said.

"A decision has been made and it should confirmed very soon."

Ahead of last season's Copa del Rey final, Barcelona boss Ernesto Valverde broke his silence on the rumours and said that the club had been in contact over a deal for Griezmann.

"It is correct that contact has been made over this deal, and this is ongoing," he said at the time.

Would Griezmann be a hit at the Camp Nou?
