AC Milan's Ante Rebic has gone above and beyond to look after his own.
Rebic is from Donji Vinjani, a small village in Croatia and has gone on to play in a World Cup final, as well as turning out for the likes of Fiorentina, Eintracht Frankfurt and now Milan.
He has never forgotten about where he came from and in 2018, it was reported he had paid off the debts of 500 residents in the village.
"He has never forgotten about his roots, although he moved to the Fiorentina, Italy when he was 19 years old," his best friend Lovro Šindik said, as quoted by Croatian media.

"Once, he paid off the loans of 500 residents of his native village."
He did not want attention for this selfless gesture.
But Rebic has now followed that up by donating €10,000 for the building of a new facility for the rehabilitation and upbringing of children in Slavonski Brod.
The Golden Sequin Centre is a non-profit organisation that has been going since 1993 and has 66 employees, who work with around 220 children who have disabilities and autism.

The financial help from Rebic, along with other smaller donations and funds from the eastern Croatian city, will help a lot of youngsters through the 520 square meter building.

I would like to meet Mr. Rebić if I get the chance. He is a great footballer, I remember his good games at the World Cup in Russia, and now he has also shown that he is a great and noble man . He did a lot for our institution.
In another kind act, Rebic was said to be involved in the "large humanitarian action" for a two-year-old girl called Mile Roncevic, who was suffering from leukemia and ended up receiving life-saving treatment in the United States.
What a class act.
