33 Premier League Strikers Put Into Tiers By YouTuber
YouTuber Spencer FC has re-opened the debate on who is the greatest striker in Premier League history by listing several of the division's top marksmen in separate tiers.
Spencer, who has 1.97 million subscribers, placed great emphasis on those to have scored more than 100 goals in the league as well as longevity when it came to ranking.
And though he explained his calls pretty well, it's already causing mass debate as expected.
Using the tiering chart that clogged up our timelines a few months back, Dennis Bergkamp, Eric Cantona, Fernando Torres, Luis Suarez, Ruud van Nistelrooy, Jamie Vardy, Dimitar Berbatov, Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino are all in the 'Not Scored Enough' section.
As we move up to 'Decent', Darren Bent, Peter Crouch, Emile Heskey, Dion Dublin, Romelu Lukaku and Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink all feature despite several of the players in the below section actually having much better careers.
'Double Decent' sees Jermain Defoe, Dwight Yorke, Teddy Sheringham, Robbie Keane, Les Ferdinand and Ian Wright all grouped together, with Robbie Fowler, Michael Owen, Robin van Persie and Nicolas Anelka all a level above having been deemed 'Better Than Most'.
'Premier League Hero' is reserved for the high-scoring trio of Harry Kane, Andy Cole and Didier Drogba, before we get to the cream of the crop.
According to Spencer, only Alan Shearer, Wayne Rooney, Thierry Henry and Sergio Aguero are worthy of being called 'Premier League legends'
Here is the full ranking of all 33 players:
