Is Napoli vs Liverpool on TV? Channel and team news

Key details on Napoli vs Liverpool

Liverpool kick-off their Champions League campaign with a tricky fixture against Napoli at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium.

Jurgen Klopp will be hoping to shake the hangover of Liverpool’s 1-0 defeat to Real Madrid in last year’s final with a dominant performance against Luciano Spalletti’s side, who currently sit second in Serie A.

Liverpool have had a relatively shaky start to the season and come into the contest off the back of a disappointing goalless draw against city rivals Everton.

Napoli, however, who have taken 11 points from a possible 15 so far this season, were victorious in their last game, beating Lazio 2-1 thanks to another goal from danger man Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.

The Reds will have to be wary of the Georgian summer signing, who’s already bagged 4 goals in just 5 matches this season.

As well as Napoli, Liverpool are also joined by Ajax and Rangers in group A, making it a difficult set of fixtures for the Merseyside club.

Napoli vs Liverpool team news

Liverpool fans will be delighted to hear that Thiago could be set to feature for the first time since his injury on the first day of the season against Fulham.

Jordan Henderson, however, is not expected to return until after the international break and young midfielders Curtis Jones and Fabio Carvalho are both expected to miss the trip to Naples, having picked up knocks last week.

Caoihmin Kelleher, Ibrahima Konate, Calvin Ramsey, Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain also remain unavailable as they continue to recover.

Napoli could be without star forward Victor Osimhen due to injury but otherwise have a fully fit squad at their disposal.
