A stunning compilation of a 19-year-old Mohamed Salah absolutely destroying Marcelo in the Olympics has gone viral.

Salah's individual highlights from the 2012 clash between Brazil and Egypt has resurfaced online and makes for sensational viewing.

He enters the fray in the second-half with his team trailing three-nil.

But Salah's introduction lifts Egypt who almost complete an incredible comeback.

With the left-footed winger on the pitch, Egypt score two goals - with the Liverpool superstar getting himself on the score-sheet.

He ran riot on the side Marcelo occupied, turning him inside out on more than one occasion.

Salah showed off his trademark trickery and dribbling prowess as he gave the Brazilian left-back a torrid time.

Needless to say, the video of Salah ruining Marcelo sent social media wild.

One tweeted: "He’s genuinely the greatest African player of all time."

A second wrote: "Through all stages of his career, you can see him humiliating defenders world-wide, even big names. He has his unique footballing style. He was just destined for greatness and is a one of the best footballing icons in modern era. Made prime Marcelo his dog at the age of 19."

A third added: "He was treating Marcelo like he did Danny Rose vs Watford (A) 21/22."

Another commented: "Cooked one of the greatest LBs for this era at 19 years old but Twitter user MufcCR7SZN will tell me Salah is a system player."

10 years later, Salah has become one of the most lethal forwards in world football, starring for Liverpool on a regular basis.

His showing against Brazil was a glimpse into the future.
