Hollywood star Michael B. Jordan is part of the ownership group that has completed the purchase of AFC Bournemouth.
Billionaire Bill Foley, who is also the owner of the NHL team Vegas Golden Knights, has purchased a majority controlling share of the club for a reported A$216 million.
He’ll assume the role of Bournemouth Chairman from previous owner Maxim Demin who opted to sell his 100 per cent stake.
The 77-year-old purchased a 50.1 per cent interest in the club, whilst actor Michael B. Jordan was part of the minority ownership group which holds the rest of the shares.

Jordan is best known for critically-acclaimed roles in Creed and Black Panther.
The investment signals the actor's first foray into professional sports ownership and will help with the global marketing of the club, according to Goal.
Meanwhile, Foley has indicated that he committed to increased investment in the Premier League side’s first-team squad.

He will oversee the construction of a new, state-of-the-art training centre.
Foley told the club’s website: “I have tremendous respect for the passion and support the Bournemouth community shows for this club and believe that connection to the community is the foundation for success of any sports team.
“We will move forward with an ‘always advance, never retreat’ approach that has defined all of my endeavours.
“I am committed to work with the best football and business minds available to enhance player development, facilities, and the fan experience to put AFC Bournemouth in the best possible position to succeed.”

The Premier League side currently sits 14th on the ladder, with Foley previously visiting the club to watch their 2-1 win against Leicester in October.
Russian-born British businessman Maxim Demin oversaw a remarkable rise for the English club that saw them go from League One to the Premier League in five seasons.
He leaves the club after 11 years in charge.

Foley commended Demin, saying: “Without the belief and financial backing of Maxim and his family, AFC Bournemouth might well have ceased to exist.
“Maxim’s support and involvement has allowed the club to establish itself as a top-flight team.
“We’d like to thank him for his co-operation throughout the process and praise his hard work whilst owner of the club. We wish him well as he focuses on his other business endeavours.”
New owners at Bournemouth could signal an influx of new buyers in the Premier League with the owners of Manchester United and Liverpool both reportedly keen to sell their respective clubs.
