Micah Richards left Alan Shearer and Gary Lineker in fits of laughter when he revealed why he’s a fan of a particular Premier League manager.
Speaking to Shearer and Lineker on 'The Rest Is Football' podcast, Richards and his fellow former pros were previewing the 2025/26 Premier League season.
The new campaign gets underway on Friday (August 15th) when reigning champions Liverpool kick off their title defence with the welcome of Bournemouth.
The game of the weekend comes from Old Trafford, where Manchester United host Arsenal with Ruben Amorim and Mikel Arteta looking to claim an early season scalp.

The trio, though, were discussing Leeds’ prospects of staying up after the Whites secured their spot in the Premier League.
Leeds were promoted as Championship winners after Manor Solomon netted a late winner at Plymouth that saw the Yorkshire side pip Burnley to top spot.
And they have wasted no time in bringing in new faces as they bid to consolidate a top-flight spot, with the likes of Anton Stach, Jaka Bijol and Sean Longstaff all making the move to Elland Road.
Lineker asked Richards what he thought of Leeds as they gear up for their first league game of the season against Everton on Monday night when the former Manchester City and Aston Villa defender made a startling revelation about Whites boss Daniel Farke.
"He rents my flat!"
“They play some really nice football. They have some money to spend,” Richards began. “I really like the manager, Daniel Farke, probably more because he rents my flat in Harrogate.”
As is to be expected, the off-hand quip stunned Shearer and Lineker, who both found the revelation hilarious, cracking up on screen.
“You don’t give a Farke about his football, do you?” Lineker quickly added as the trio struggled to get back on topic.

Leeds see out August with meetings against Arsenal and Newcastle, and take on Fulham, Wolves and Bournemouth in September.
Farke will hope to make a bright start to the campaign as Leeds look to keep their head above water.
Any success this season, too, will ensure that Richards won’t need to look for a new tenant for his flat in Harrogate anytime soon.
