Lionel Messi produced a scintillating performance against Nice, with his individual highlights making for phenomenal viewing.

Messi delivered arguably his best performance yet for Paris Saint-Germain as he starred in their 2-1 victory on Saturday.

The 35-year-old was hugely influential for his team, dictating play and orchestrating attacks from deep.

Despite his age, the Argentine showed off his pace and dribbling prowess as he skipped past players with absolute ease.

And, as ever, the seven-time Ballon d'Or winner's vision was on full display, piercing passes through Nice's back line.

Messi capped off his superb outing with a trademark free-kick, sweeping the ball over the wall to open the scoring.

@RoyNemer shared a clip of his stunning performance, with fans online marveling over his display.

One Twitter user wrote: "He's still going past players at the age of 35 like it's nothing."

A second tweeted: "For me, this is the best of Messi's performances for PSG."

A third added: "This man's vision and ability to thread beautiful through passes while being pressed is WILD."

Another commented: "This RIGHT here is football in its purest form. Complete and utter mastery of the game."

Messi had a tough debut season in France, but he's clearly back to his very best as he's enjoying a prolific campaign.

He's already on five league goals this term, having bagged just six league goals last season.

He also has seven assists to his name, with Messi firing on all cylinders.
