Marcus Rashford Looking In Incredible Shape Ahead Of Make Or Break Season At Manchester United

Marcus Rashford had a torrid 21/22 campaign

Manchester United star Marcus Rashford has been putting the work in ahead of a crucial season with the club.

Despite the new season being more than two months away, the England man has started his work early, in a bid to be in the best shape possible for the start of the new season.

Rashford looked in amazing shape as he posted a 90 second long workout video on his Instagram account, with the caption: ‘3 sessions in and feeling good after an amazing break with amazing people. Back to work.’

This will make good reading for new United boss Erik ten Hag, the Dutchman has reportedly asked for a full report on every member of the squad, including where they are going on holiday to make sure that they all return for pre season in the best possible shape.

Ten Hag is believed to want to know everything about his players both on and off the pitch, including their home and family life and a breakdown of their character.

24-year-old Rashford has been in California after the dismal season ended with United, and he got engaged to his long term partner, Lucia Loi

Life off the pitch seems to be going well for Rashford, but his focus will now be on improving his fortunes on the pitch.

Rashford endured a torrid 21/22 season, with just five goals to his name in 32 appearances in all competitions, this was the forward's worst goal tally since he broke into the first team six years ago. He started only 13 games in the Premier League and failed to score in any of them.

He has found himself out of Gareth Southgate’s England squad again for this month’s fixtures in the Nations League, but Rashford clearly hasn’t given up as he showed the world that he is prepared to put in the hard work.

Southgate said of Rashford’s omission in March: “He [Rashford] is in the same position as everyone else. In the squad or out of the squad they all have to play well over the next period of this season and the beginning of next season.”

“It’s a difficult time for him. He is clearly not at his best. There is plenty of time and we know what he can do and hopefully he can rediscover his form.”

Rashford will also been hoping to impress ten Hag, who has asked his players to report for pre season on 27 June, ahead of the club’s trips to Bangkok and Australia.

United are heading into a busy summer as ten Hag looks to build a squad capable of challenging the likes of Manchester City and Liverpool at the very top.
