Manchester United have been told they may need to pay €140 million to sign Napoli star Victor Osimhen this summer, according to reports from Italy.
Osimhen has been in superb form for Napoli this season, netting 13 goals in just 15 Serie A appearances. Luciano Spalletti's side are currently 12 points clear at the top of Italy's top division, and have lost just one game in the current campaign.
The Nigeria international was linked with a move away from the club in the summer, but eventually stayed put and has a contract until the summer of 2025.

United have been linked with the forward since the summer, with Erik ten Hag said to prefer a striker with pace, such as Osimhen, over Tottenham's Harry Kane should both players become available.
That is according to The Telegraph, who say that Ten Hag's view may not stop the Dutchman wanting to sign Kane if the decision is made to go down that particular route instead.
In Osimhen's case, meanwhile, United have been told by an Italian journalist that they will need to break their transfer record in order to sign the 24-year-old.
Man Utd told asking price for Osimhen
RAI journalist Ciro Venerato (via Football365) has laid out Napoli's demands to sell the striker: "If Osimhen's representatives or the footballer show the desire to have new experiences elsewhere, Napoli could sell him for very high figures of €120m or €140m.

"Many top clubs are on the Nigerian. First and foremost Real Madrid, because Carlo Ancelotti dotes on him, then Manchester United, Tottenham (if Harry Kane leaves) and Chelsea."
Any move would likely require United, in their case, to qualify for the Champions League next season, with Napoli in the driving seat to win their first Scudetto since 1990, when Diego Maradona was the club's top scorer.
Osimhen could match that particular feat this season, with the Nigerian topping the Serie A goalscoring charts. A proven striker is what United are hoping for, and while Osimhen would certainly provide that, it seems like it will be difficult to prize him away from Napoli in the summer.
