Antony has named the Man Utd star who has helped him settle.

Manchester United star Antony has named the team-mate he has spent the most time with since moving to Old Trafford last summer.

The Brazilian winger joined United from Ajax for an initial fee of £80.75 million, reuniting with manager Erik ten Hag.

In his first season, Antony has scored four goals and provided two assists in 23 Premier League appearances.

Although he has had some mixed performances, he produced player of the match displays in wins over Nottingham Forest and Wolves, which have pushed United to the brink of a Champions League qualification place.

The Brazilian will therefore make a return to the top club competition in Europe next season, should qualification be assured. In the 2021/22 season, he scored four goals and provided two assists in seven appearances for Ajax.

He will also likely play alongside compatriots Casemiro and Fred, with the latter contracted until 2024 despite speculation over his future beyond this season.

And in a new interview, Antony has revealed which team-mate he has spent most time with.

Antony on life at Man Utd

Speaking to United's official website, the 23-year-old revealed that Fred and Casemiro, as well as the other players, have helped him settle in a new country - and named the former Real Madrid star as the team-mate he 'always hangs out' with.

He explained: "I feel like I've settled in and grown accustomed to the city of Manchester.

"There are quite a few Brazilians here. Me and Casemiro are always hanging out, we're always doing something. I've settled into the city and I'm loving life here. I hope I can spend a long time here.

"Definitely [knowing Casemiro, Fred and Lisandro Martinez helped me to adapt]. And not just those guys, but Bruno Fernandes and Diogo Dalot as well.

"They've helped me a lot, as has our keeper, David [De Gea]. Having this support, being able to get advice from them, have them show me around and introduce me to things means a great deal. I'm really happy to have been welcomed in like this by all the players here."
