Man Utd youth player Amir Ibragimov has had a week to remember, he's going places

The Russian-born teenager has scored against Man City and Liverpool this week.

Highly-rated Manchester United forward Amir Ibragimov has had a week to remember.

The Russian-born youngster is regarded as one of the biggest prospects in United's world-renowned academy. Last season, he produced a masterclass against Manchester City to lead the U14s to Albert Phelan Cup glory.

And the 15-year-old, who penned a new deal last year after attracting interest from a host of top European clubs, has continued to impress in the youth teams.

Yes, you read that correctly. Youth TEAMS.

On Tuesday afternoon, the highly-rated Ibragimov scored the winner for United's U15s in a 3-2 win against Manchester City, who will no doubt be sick of coming up against 'Ibra'.

Four days later, on a cold Saturday morning in the North West, the teenager scored the winner for United's U16s in a 1-0 win over Liverpool.

And a few minutes after the full-time whistle, Amir walked over to a nearby pitch and helped the U18s beat Liverpool 3-2.

He soon took to Instagram to post a picture of his match-worn shirt and boots. "1-0 Liverpool 16s winning goal. Happy to get on for the 18s."

Twitter account Russian Footbik has been tracking Ibragimov's progress of late.

"Amir is a dynamic forward who loves to make darting runs behind the opposition defence," they wrote.

"He uses his speed and directness to unsettle the opposition defenders. The 15 year old is blessed with composure, which allows him to make mature decisions."

They added: "A natural leader, Ibragimov has an elite mentality reflected in his performances at such a young age. The teenager is a serious talent and has the potential to become a future superstar at United."

The 15-year-old has a teammate at United who is also making headlines for his talents. In fact, fans think he is the next Phil Foden.

Shea Lacey was compared to Foden after an impressive cameo against Newcastle U18s in October last year.

The teenager, who can play anywhere across the attacking line, was one of United's standout performers in this summer's SuperCupNI Junior Champions win against Rangers.

Lacey bagged himself a goal and an assist in the final, and has continued to impress in the academy set-up this season.

In fact, the England U16 international earned himself call-up to the U18's squad for their Premier League clash against Newcastle last year.

After being handed just 15 minutes to impress in the North East, a composed Lacey took his opportunity with both hands, engineering several chances with his quick feet and ability to spot a pass.

Of course, it's early days for the youngsters, who have both been tipped as United's biggest academy prospects. But Shea and Amir certainly have the potential to go far.
