Manchester United were offered 15 players in one week in the transfer window

United had issues in the transfer window this summer and were made to wait but Fabrizio Romano has praised them for not panicking.

Manchester United were offered a whopping 15 players in one week in the transfer window, but decided against signing any of them.

It was a long transfer window for United, whose multiple attempts to sign Frenkie de Jong were rebuffed time and time again by the Barcelona midfielder.

At one point Erik ten Hag's team were looking desperate and even made moves for Adrien Rabiot and Marko Arnautovic, which weren't popular choices, and the criticism of the Arnautovic deal even made United back out of the bid.

Once those moves didn't come to fruition, Ten Hag was linked with moves for several other players and then eventually signed Casemiro and Antony, as well as the lesser spotted move for Martin Dubravka.

It wasn't just United offering their services to players however, with Fabrizio Romano revealing that in one week the club were inundated with offers of players.

15 players were offered to them between August 15th and 21st, whether it was from the selling clubs or the players' agents wasn't specified.

Barcelona forward Memphis Depay was one of those players, as United were looking for an alternative for Antony, before they finally did a deal.

Another of those in that position was Christian Pulisic, with Romano revealing that United were only interested in a loan for the forward but Chelsea would have only agreed to sell him.

Atletico Madrid's Yannick Carrasco and Napoli's Hirving Lozano were the other players offered to United in those positions, but they waited for their number one target.

If they hadn't managed to get Casemiro from Real Madrid, the Premier League giants were also offered the chance to sign Leandro Paredes and Weston McKennie.

United were also interested in a right back and they were offered the chance to sign Sergino Dest, who they were interested in a swap deal for, although the American eventually moved to AC Milan.

That move never materialised because they couldn't get rid of Aaron Wan-Bissaka before hand, but if they had they also had the chance to sign Thomas Meunier.

Whilst United have had plenty of criticism over the years for their transfer policy, Romano actually praised them for their excellent work in not signing any of the players they were offered.
