The Manchester United starting XI to take on Crystal Palace has been revealed, and there is a first start for Netherlands striker Wout Weghorst.

United are searching for a sixth consecutive Premier League win at Selhurst Park, having tasted victories in all of their matches in all competitions since the conclusion of the World Cup.

Confidence is high for Erik ten Hag's side after the 2-1 win over Manchester City in the Manchester derby, where Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford both got on the scoresheet.

And morale amongst the United faithful was boosted by the arrival of Weghorst, who joined on loan from Burnley last week. He could not be registered in time for the City clash, but United confirmed that he would be 'hopefully ready' to take on Palace.

The 30-year-old last played for previous loan club Besiktas on January 7 - a game in which he scored - so match fitness is not an issue for the Dutchman.

He has now been given the go-ahead from the start by Ten Hag to show the Red Devils exactly what he can do, and provide a much-needed new face in United's attacking options given their lack of depth.

However, his arrival means one United star has been forced to miss out.

The United team will not feature Fred, who started the 2-1 win over City. The Brazilian has been dropped down to the bench for the fixture against Palace by Ten Hag.

Ten Hag has made two further changes, with Tyrell Malacia and Anthony Martial both missing from the side that defeated the Cityzens at Old Trafford. Malacia is on the bench, while Martial misses out on the squad entirely.

They are replaced by the returning Lisandro Martinez and Antony, meaning two of United's summer signings are back in the XI. Luke Shaw is likely to slot back in at left-back, having played at centre-back in the absence of Martinez against City.

The full team and predicted formation is as follows:

  • David de Gea
  • Aaron Wan-Bissaka
  • Raphael Varane
  • Lisandro Martinez
  • Luke Shaw
  • Casemiro
  • Christian Eriksen
  • Bruno Fernandes
  • Antony
  • Marcus Rashford
  • Wout Weghorst
