Erik ten Hag has been boosted ahead of Manchester United’s trip to Sevilla as four players have returned to training.

United travel to the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium on Thursday for the second leg of the Europa League quarter-final.

Ten Hag’s men had been in complete control of the reverse fixture at Old Trafford, taking an early two-goal lead.

However upon conceding a pair of late and avoidable own-goals, the tie hangs in the balance.

The first leg also saw United inflicted with a pair of injuries to key players as Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez were both forced off, the latter with an injury that will keep him out for the rest of the season.

However, according to reports United have welcomed back four players to training, one of which will serve as a major boost to Ten Hag.

Ten Hag welcomes back Marcus Rashford

According to the Athletic, United's star player Marcus Rashford is back in training ahead of the Sevilla game.

Rashford had been sidelined by a groin injury after limping out of United's win over Everton earlier this month.

The 25-year-old had been expected to miss a few weeks with the injury, but has seemingly returned to training just 11 days after the setback.

Rashford, who has scored 28 goals this season, was expected to miss both the Europa League tie with Sevilla and the club's FA Cup semi-final against Brighton.

Luke Shaw, who has been sidelined since the club's 1-0 victory over Brentford on April 5, also trained on Wednesday after missing United's last three games.

Tyrell Malacia and Marcel Sabitzer are also back in training ahead of the crucial Europa League tie, while Scott McTominay remains sidelined.

Malacia and Sabitzer both missed United's 2-0 away victory over Nottingham Forest on Sunday, with the latter withdrawing just before kick-off with an injury picked up in the warm up.
