Alejandro Garnacho has named three Manchester United players who have helped him adjust to life in the first-team.

The 18-year-old winger has enjoyed a breakout season under Erik ten Hag, recently signing a new contract keeping him at Old Trafford until 2028.

He has managed four goals and four assists in all competitions this term, doing most of his damage off the substitutes' bench.

An ankle injury has hampered his progress. However, the teenager is back in training and could be in contention for his side's trip to Brighton on Thursday.

Garnacho recently paid tribute to his teammates, explaining they how they helped him settle into the first-team.

What did he say?

Being the youngest member of the Red Devils' squad, it is no surprise that Garnacho would need a little guidance from senior players.

Speaking in an interview with MUTV, Garnacho revealed Lisandro Martinez is a like a 'dad' to him and tells him off when he needs to.

“From the very first day that I went into the dressing room, they’ve really treated me just like one of the lads,” Garnacho said.

“I’m the youngest guy out of all that squad and so players like Lisandro Martinez who is like - well I say around here that he’s like my dad.

“He treats me like my dad, when he needs to tell me off he does, and when I do well he tells me that I have. He always tries to help me with everything.

“Then you have players like Bruno [Fernandes] who’s quite close to me. He helps with everything that he can.

"I’m also good friends with [David] De Gea, we speak the same language and he’s a player who I’m very close to and we get on very well together. They all help me quite a lot.”
