Manchester United left-back Luke Shaw has reportedly agreed a new four-year contract at Old Trafford, keeping him at the club until 2027.

Shaw has enjoyed an excellent campaign, managing 35 appearances and six assists across all competitions.

While he was also part of the team that beat Newcastle 2-0 to lift the Carabao Cup trophy.

The 27-year-old will have his eyes set on further silverware, with a Europa league quarter-final against Sevilla on the horizon, along with an FA Cup semi-final against Brighton.

He has become a stalwart under Erik ten Hag, even filling in at centre-back when Lisandro Martinez was unavailable.

Shaw signs new contract

Shaw has pledged his allegiance to United for another four years, report The Athletic.

The Red Devils triggered the option to extend Shaw's contract by a year in December but have allegedly wanted to tie him down to a long-term deal.

While Shaw's 'growing maturity and presence around the squad' is said to appeal to the United boss.

So much so, that Ten Hag's first signing Tyrell Malacia has been restricted to just 15 Premier League appearances this season.

Shaw arrived at Old Trafford from Southampton in 2014, meaning a fresh deal will take him beyond a decade at the club.

Speaking about the Englishman in January, Ten Hag told Sky Sports: "He's so honest. After the second game, I didn't play him. He said, 'I fully understand, my performance is not right'.

"But from the first day of training in pre-season, he was working really hard and you can see when he is in the right approach he's a top player.

"He's not only a team player, he's a leader. He showed a lot of leader capacity. He's the example in this moment and his skills, with his physical power, he brings a lot to the team.

"Now also in his mentality, he's an example of how to win big games."

David De Gea and Marcus Rashford are thought to be next on the list, with both players out of contract next year.
