"He says he won't..." - Casemiro's agent claims the Man Utd star is in denial over his next career move

"He says he won't..." - Casemiro's agent claims the Man Utd star is in denial over his next career move

Casemiro's agent claims he knows what his next step is.

The agent of Manchester United star Casemiro has claimed he knows what the Brazilian's next career step will be - despite the player denying it.

The 31-year-old moved to Old Trafford last summer, joining from Real Madrid after nine successful years at the Bernabeu.

The midfielder utilised his trophy-winning experience to help United to lift the Carabao Cup, while they could still contest the Europa League final this season.

Winning that competition would eliminate the need to finish in the Premier League top four in order to qualify for next season's Champions League, although finishing the season inside those positions would give them momentum heading into 2023/24.

Casemiro signed a contract with United that runs until 2026, with the option of an additional year's extension, meaning he feasibly could end his career at Old Trafford.

His agent has claimed that he is already considering his next step for when he hangs up his boots - but claims he is denying he will step into what would be an obvious role.

Casemiro 'unsure over career move'

Oscar Ribot, whose 'Best of You' agency represents the midfielder, explained in an interview with The Guardian that Casemiro watches any game from any league - and even goes to bed thinking of football.

He said: "Taking football away from Case is like taking food from his table, it's like he can't live, can't breathe.

"He wakes up thinking about football and goes to bed thinking about football. He watches hundreds of games: any team, any league. I've seen him watch Chinese games because there is always some detail.

"He says he won't be a coach, but he will. He's already one in a footballer's body. This month, he's watched everything, calculating the points needed and the days left."

Ribot went on to add that, before his playing career ends, there is only one thing on Casemiro's mind: "Case has signed for four years plus one. He's come to win titles; this month has been hard, but there's nothing else on his mind."
