Manchester United are expected to bring new faces in as the summer transfer window edges ever closer.

The transfer window for English clubs is open but for international moves, the window opens on 1 July.

United and Erik ten Hag are expected to be busy as they look to close the gap between themselves and Manchester City.

In his first season in charge, the Dutchman won the Carabao Cup, secured Champions League football and also led the team to the FA Cup final.

As the transfer window takes centre stage, we have decided to let Football Manager 2023 simulate the window and see what players United will sign.

Mehdi Taremi(Porto) - £36.5 million

Gabriel Barbosa(FLA) - £18.75 million

According to FM23, United are fully focused on improving their midfield and attack as they splashed out Porto duo Otavio and Taremi.

In addition, Ten Hag also brought in Brazilian striker Barbosa, who is known as Gabigol.

Portuguese veteran midfielder Moutinho also moved to Old Trafford on a free transfer whilst Vancouver Whitecaps youngster Vite is one to watch for the future.

Axel Tuanzebe(Brighton) - £1.4 million

There weren’t any high-profile departures as Ten Hag trimmed his squad.

Fringe players such as Fred, Telles and Tuanzebe were moved on whilst youngsters Pellistri, Savage and Mengi left on loan to gain more experience.

According to FM 23, United are set for a dreadful season as the simulation resulted in a disappointing seventh-place finish for the Red Devils.

United reached the Carabao Cup final but failed to defend their trophy as they were beaten 3-2 by Chelsea at Wembley.
