Christian Eriksen ran the show with stunning display as Denmark shock France

What a performance by Manchester United’s summer signing.

Christian Eriksen was the star of the show as Denmark shocked world champions France in the UEFA Nations League on Sunday night.

Although France were without some of their key defenders it was still a brilliant performance by Denmark as goals from Kasper Dolberg and Andreas Olsen in five first half minutes were enough to secure a 2-0 win for the hosts.

Manchester United’s summer signing Eriksen stood out from the rest as he produced a stunning display in the middle of the park.

The 30-year-old’s sublime range of pass was on show all night as he effortlessly picked teammates out from all angles through out the match.

A compilation of Eriksen’s performance has now been uploaded and it is a joy to watch.

Fans have been reacting to Eriksen’s display on social media, United fans in particular were extremely happy to see their player put on a show.

One fan said: “I’ve seen the light. Christian Eriksen is the best midfielder in the world.”

Another tweeted: “Eriksen is so good man. We have a genuine world class midfielder again in our ranks.”

A third fan added: “Eriksen is just blowing my mind everyday this guy is so good.”

Eriksen’s commanding performance definitely did not come as a huge surprise as the football world already know the qualities that the Dane possesses.

France boss, Didier Deschamps alluded to Eriksen’s qualities before their clash with Denmark.

He said: “There is an attacking player who even surprised me, and not just because of what had happened that could have been dramatic for him, and obviously it’s Christian Eriksen.

“But the ability that he shows with his club in the position he plays, because he has always been someone who has a remarkable technical ability.

Deschamps added: “But to play so frequently for his club in the midfield, to see the volume of games he plays, this ability even to recover is impressive.

“And he has always had the ability to score goals, to make other players score – he has always had that.”

With his international break now over, Eriksen will be heading back to Manchester to prepare for a huge derby this weekend as United travel to the Etihad to take on City on Sunday afternoon.
