Man United youth team answer Messi or Ronaldo, there's a clear winner

Manchester United's youth team answered football's age-old question: Messi or Ronaldo.

Manchester United's youth team have been videoed answering football's age-old debate of Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo - and there was a clear winner.

A clip of Man United's youth team weighing in on Messi or Ronaldo makes for damning viewing for the former Old Trafford star.

Of course, the Portuguese forward left the club in unceremonious style after giving an explosive interview to Piers Morgan.

And it appears he's damaged his reputation at Man United. Well, that's judging by the answers the side's youth team gave when they were asked to pick between the two football superstars.

The presenter asked six players as well as the coach, with Messi going 7-0 over Ronaldo.

Not a single player or staff opted for the ex-Man United player in a damning indictment of where his legacy stands.

Needless to say, the clip of the Man United youth team got fans online talking.

One Twitter user wrote: "They'll go far cos they clearly know ball."

A second tweeted: "That's why they have Messi's pic cleaning his boot at their academy."

A third added: "Guys ruined his whole legacy looool."

A fourth said: "Yeah Ronaldo ruined his name with that Piers Morgan interview. I'm glad our young players idolize humble players like Messi who respect their managers."

Another commented: "And Ronaldo is a so-called United legend lol. But the fact is these kids know ball."

Ronaldo has recently signed for Saudi Arabian outfit Al Nassr, signing an extremely lucrative two-year deal.

But despite the nature of his Man United exit, Rio Ferdinand doesn't think he's tarnished his legacy at the club.

"I don’t think this affects or detracts from Cristiano Ronaldo’s legacy at the football club – what he’s achieved, his legendary status, I believe doesn’t change," the former Man United defender said on his YouTube channel.

"The measure of what he was when he was in the red shirt, playing football, and the amount of successful moments and trophies that he brought to the club when he was here, becoming the best player in the world when he was at Manchester United - these things you cannot erase from history."
