Manchester United fans are loving Erik ten Hag's elite mentality shining through in a brief interaction with Martin Tyler.

Ahead of the 1-0 win over West Ham, the Sky Sports commentator congratulated Ten Hag on his side's 3-0 Europa League victory over Sheriff Tiraspol.

But while the Dutchman was appreciative, he is driven as ever and told Tyler that he'd already forgotten about the game.

"Well done the other night,” the legendary Tyler said to Ten Hag as he walked out of the tunnel.

“It was a good three points.”

Ten Hag replied, “Eh, new game…new Day, new game!”

United went on to beat West Ham 1-0 courtesy of Marcus Rashford's 100th goal for the club - and helped by some fine goalkeeping between David de Gea when it mattered most.

It means the Red Devils are fifth in the league and on an eight-game unbeaten run in all competitions. And supporters are loving the approach from Ten Hag, who is laser-focused and not even putting any thought into the past fixtures.

He doesn’t give a toss about the past, always the next challenge ahead. Love that man!🥲

Yeah, this is what has been missing at Manchester United the focus ahead for success and having a manager that handles himself this way will only rub off on the players.

He never accepts compliments blindly. To constantly keep the players on their toes https://t.co/7qPEmnVjN8

Next up for United is their final Europa League group game against group leaders Real Sociedad, who beat them in the reverse fixture at Old Trafford.

United are still able to top the group with a win in the Basque country, which would mean avoiding a two-legged affair with one of the big guns dropping into the competition from the Champions League.
