Man United fans want star player sold as reports claim he's NOT in the matchday squad for Palace

Man United fans want star player sold as reports claim he's NOT in the matchday squad for Palace

Reports suggest he's not in the matchday squad for today's Premier League match.

Manchester United fans want one of their star players SOLD after a suspected injury setback ahead of the club's Premier League clash against Crystal Palace.

Erik ten Hag's team resume their league campaign at home to Palace as they look to return to winning ways following their defeat at Arsenal last month.

The Red Devils currently occupy the final Champions League spot in the table, having recorded 39 points from 20 games this season.

But they'll reportedly face Patrick Vieira's without one of their key forwards as reports claim Anthony Martial is NOT in the matchday squad for today's fixture.

Twitter user @planetfaz reports that Martial has not arrived at Old Trafford for the league encounter against Palace.

Frustrated Man United supporters reacted to the news by suggesting he should be offloaded in the summer.

One Twitter user wrote: "Love the guy but we need to sell him, idk who’d take him though."

A second tweeted: "Cash out on him in summer we can’t continue like this."

A third added: "If he’s injured he needs to go this summer no matter what."

A fourth said: "At this rate Anthony Martial will have more injuries this season than appearances."

Another commented: "This injury record is annoying."

Martial has played less than half of Man United's league games this season, having made nine appearances.

He has three league goals to his name and appears to be out of action this afternoon.

The 27-year-old has been at Man United since 2015 as he spent time away from the club last season. But he scored just one goal during his loan spell at Sevilla.

If Martial is unavailable, Ten Hag could continue with Wout Weghorst, who has started league games against Palace and Arsenal as well as Nottingham Forest in the Carabao Cup.

Jadon Sancho is also back in the fold after making his return against Forest in midweek.
