He completely transformed the game after entering the fray at the break, scoring his side's second goal.

The Colombian winger was reduced to tears after reaching his first Champions League final of his budding career.

And he could be incredibly emotional come the end of the season because the 25-year-old can still bag FIVE more winners' medals this season.

He's already bagged the EFL Cup with Liverpool, who have two cup finals this month (FA Cup and Champions League).

The Reds also remain in a battle with Manchester City over the Premier League.

And Diaz is eligible for two medals if Porto claim a league and cup double.

He played 28 times for the Portuguese outlift before sealing a move to Liverpool in January.

Porto sit at the top of the Primeira Liga and have a cup final against Tondela in the Taca de Portugal.

So, Diaz could end the season with a remarkable SIX winners' medals this season.

Diaz's second half showing against Villarreal garnered high praise from BT Sport pundits Peter Crouch, Michael Owen and Rio Ferdinand.

Crouch said: "He was fantastic. The moment he came on he was getting at players. He was a complete game-change.

"In the final, he starts. He's come in and invigorated the whole dressing room. I spoke to Jurgen Klopp about him and he says he enjoys his football every day."

Owen added: "I have never seen a player hit the ground running like him. Playing in different leagues, not speaking the language.

"To pick up the way Liverpool play so quickly is unbelievable. He's starting the final for sure."

Ferdinand called him the signing of the season: "His ability to go one vs. one. He came on and was mesmeric. His dribbling, how he unnerves defenders, his trickery.

"He's a fabulous player and one of - if not the - signing of the season for me."
