Liverpool Targeting Dortmund Star To Bolster Up Midfield

Jude Bellingham may be just what Jurgen Klopp's side need in midfield next season.

Naby Keita’s potential departure will leave Liverpool in need of midfield reinforcement, and Jude Bellingham is being targeted to fill this void, according to reports.

Liverpool’s recent Champions League and Premier League disappointment has the club looking for new talent this summer transfer window. The Reds will be looking to add that little bit of extra quality and depth to the squad, in the hope that it will get them across the line of where they came so close this season.

With a move to PSG looking likely for Keita, the midfield looks to be a specific area which will need investment. Jude Bellingham is reportedly the man wanted by the powers that be at Anfield, with there very much being a need to bolster the squad.

Since his move to Borussia Dortmund in 2020, Bellingham has gone from strength to strength on and off the pitch. The 18 year-old has been putting in consistently imposing performances in the middle of the park, with him earning himself a place in Southgate’s England squad in the process.

His impressive play-style and attitude has led to his Dortmund teammates even nicknaming him the ‘new Stevie-G’, with the player seemingly mature beyond his years.

Although Liverpool are very keen on Bellingham, it may become difficult to secure his signature, with Dortmund reluctant to sell him this window. Unless a bid of significant size comes in, it is unlikely that we will see Bellingham in a Liverpool shirt next season.

However, it’s not all doom and gloom for Liverpool fans, with the player only being 18 years of age, it is extremely probable that we will see Bellingham back in England eventually, and with the nickname of the ‘new Stevie-G’ it would be rather fitting if he ended up with Reds.
