Liverpool Fans Tell Thiago Alcantara To Calm Down After Seeing Intense Home Workout

Liverpool fans fear Thiago Alcantara will get himself injured after seeing his vigorous training routine.

Liverpool fans are calling for Thiago Alcantara to tone down his home workouts after seeing him partake in a seriously intense exercise at home.

The Reds have something of a midfield crisis going on at the moment and supporters are fearful that Thiago could be the next player to join the list.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is on the sidelines again after suffering a hamstring injury in pre-season, while Curtis Jones was seen wearing a protective boot and on crutches while watching the 3-0 friendly defeat to Strasbourg at Anfield on Sunday.

Throw in Naby Keita's illness, set to rule him out for the season opener against Fulham, and you have a real shortage of options in central midfield.

And there's been a concern from some sections of Liverpool fans for Thiago.

The Spain midfielder has suffered a few different injuries since making the move to Anfield, the most lengthy period a calf injury which kept him out for 43 days.

He's fit and firing at the moment but seeing him move about vigorously and doing a lot of twisting and extending in a home workout video has worried many:

Liverpool are awash with injury problems all over the park at the moment. As well as the aforementioned midfielders, Diogo Jota, Kostas Tsimikas, Alisson Becker, Caoimhin Kelleher and Calvin Ramsay are all sidelined.

After winning the curtain-raiser Community Shield against Manchester City at the weekend, the Reds travel to Fulham for a lunchtime kick-off this Saturday.
