Jurgen Klopp snaps at a reporter for asking about Liverpool's transfer business, he's rattled

Liverpool have had a disappointing 22/23 campaign so far

A frustrated Jurgen Klopp snapped at a reporter during his pre-match press conference after being questioned about Liverpool’s transfer business.

To date, the Reds' 22/23 season has been way below par after a string of disappointing performances, they were awful against Wolverhampton Wanderers last time out in the FA Cup and were lucky to scrape a replay.

Ahead of Liverpool’s match against Brighton and Hove Albion, Klopp was facing questions from the media.

However, when asked if Liverpool are able to make more signings in the transfer window after buying Cody Gakpo, Klopp gave a frustrated answer. You can watch the footage below.

The Liverpool boss said: “I’ve done 6,000 press conferences at Liverpool and you were part of 5,999 of them. In different seats, but you were always there.

“Do I have to tell you the money story again? Really? Do I have to tell you again? What could be the reason? That we have money like crazy but we don’t buy the players even if they are available?

“Why are you asking questions when the answer is on the table? I really don’t understand that. I really don’t understand that.

“You drove here today and this is the question you ask? You know the answer!”

Klopp continued: “On top of that (finances) four of our offensive players are injured, they will come back. We will have seven strikers then, we can’t even put them all on the Champions League list.

“Injuries are a big shadow over us. You cannot solve it all in the transfer window, sometimes you have to. If somebody is out there and someone tells me yes we can do it then we will do it, but for this situation, I don’t think it will happen.”

Liverpool are currently seventh in the Premier League table, seven points behind fourth-placed Manchester United and a mammoth 16 points adrift of leaders Arsenal.

Will Liverpool finish in the top four? Let us know in the comments.
