Lionel Messi is reportedly producing a documentary about his life.

The seven-time Ballon d'Or winner is approaching the end of his career, with the Qatar World Cup set to be his last as an active player.

Messi hopes to guide his nation to their first World Cup since 1986 after winning the Copa America in 2021.

Per Revelo, the 35-year-old is keen to give fans an insight into his personal and professional life.

The report stresses the documentary is not linked to Messi's decision to stay or leave Paris Saint-Germain.

Messi's deal with the Ligue 1 giants expires in 2023. Last week, it was claimed Messi is close to agreeing a deal with MLS franchise Inter Miami.

Miami, co-owned by England legend David Beckham, will look to make Messi the highest-paid player in MLS history.

It's believed Miami will explore signing Messi's former Barcelona teammates, Cesc Fabregas and Luis Suarez, to lure him stateside.

Sergio Busquets has also been linked with a move to Miami.

Argentina kept their World Cup dream alive on Saturday evening with a 2-0 win over Mexico.

After losing their opening Group C game 2-1 to Saudi Arabia, Lionel Scaloni's side knew a defeat would see them eliminated from the competition.

With the contest drifting, Messi stepped up to send the Lusail Stadium wild just past the hour mark.

He drilled a long-range effort past Guillermo Ochoa before wheeling away in passionate celebration with his teammates.

Enzo Fernandez doubled Argentina's lead six minutes from time to set up a huge final group clash with Poland on Wednesday.

"We have overcome a difficult test," Messi declared at full-time.

"Although we trusted in ourselves, in what we can do, at the hour of truth lots of things go through your mind and it can be difficult to isolate yourself from everything.

"But this group is ready. We have taken a very important step; now we have to take another one."
