Cristiano Ronaldo still has that searing pace. Don't you worry.

The Real Madrid superstar rightfully grabbed all the headlines following Portugal's opening World Cup game against Spain, by bagging a stunning hat-trick.

He got on the score-sheet minutes into the match after successfully converting a penalty, before doubling his goal tally courtesy of a uncharacteristic howler from David De Gea.

And he topped his brilliant outing with a truly outrageous free-kick to secure a point for his side.

But we're here to talk about Ronaldo's incredible sprint in the first-half.

The counter-attack ploy worked wonders for Fernando Santos' team. Portugal's pace on the break caught Spain on a few occasions.

Portugal broke following a Spain corner-kick, which included Ronaldo racing down the length of the pitch showing off his incredible speed despite being 33.

In fairness, Ronaldo does have a biological age of a 23-years-old. Well, according to the man himself.

"Right now, I've got a biological age of 23," he claimed. "I've still got a long time left, I can keep playing until I'm 41. I'm feeling good, happy, I can't complain."

Forty-f*cking-one.
