Vinicius Jr has been slammed for what he did in a generational Real Madrid headloss against Barcelona.

Los Blancos were beaten in a controversial and chaotic Copa del Rey final, with Jules Kounde scoring the winner for the Blaugrana in the 116th minute.

Pedri put Barca 1-0 up with a stunning strike before Kylian Mbappe and Aurelien Tchouameni struck and put Real ahead.

Ferran Torres equalised and after a last-gasp penalty was overturned and Raphinha was booked for diving, Kounde put the Catalan giants back in the lead in extra time.

Real had a late penalty chalked off for offside in the build-up and the 15-time European champions, who had put out a statement calling out the referee prior to the clash and reportedly considered not playing it, completely lost it.

Vinicius Jr sprinted on the pitch in anger and threw his arm, while Antonio Rudiger appeared to hurl ice packs in the direction of the man in the middle - the latter being sent off in stoppage time along with Lucas Vazquez for how they responded to Barcelona getting a free-kick when Mbappe was penalised for a foul.

All three were substitutes and lost their cool on the bench. Vinicius had been replaced by Brahim Diaz after struggling with injury but saw red when a decision did not go in his team's favour and was widely panned online.

One fan on X said: "Rudiger and Vinicius deserve 10 matches ban. They don’t deserve to play football at all."

A second commented: "The attitude of the Real Madrid players while the referee was the other way around the entire match in favor of Real Madrid. It's so shameful. Vinicius and Rudiger throwing things at the referee. Sad weekend for the image of this club."

A third stated: "Rudiger and Vinicius deserve a 10+ match ban for their behavior yet the will walk away without punishment, but no matter because they have been beaten down and completely crushed."

A fourth fumed: "This is disgusting. The worst behaviour I’ve seen from such a big team/club."

According to @Rodra10_97, a journalist for Relevo, Vinicius or Jude Bellingham were also sent off for their post-match behaviour but a dismissal has yet to be officially confirmed.

Having been eliminated from the Champions League by Arsenal and trailing Barca in La Liga, Real could end the season trophyless to put further pressure on Carlo Ancelotti.

Speaking after the disappointing defeat, Ancelotti said: "We did everything we could. I can't criticise the team."

Real return to action on Sunday when they host Celta Vigo, before travelling to play Barcelona in another El Clasico fixture on 11 May.
