Real Madrid's bus has been involved in a crash ahead of the Champions League fixture with RB Leipzig.

Los Blancos take on the Bundesliga outfit at the Red Bull Arena on Tuesday night but flew to Erfurt instead of Leipzig because of an airport strike.

They then faced a 100-mile drive to the city but during that journey, German newspaper BILD say the bus was involved in an incident with a white Toyota after the driver tried to change lanes.

The exterior mirror broke, with the total cost of the damage to the Toyota coming in at more than £2,000.

Real's star-studded squad was onboard but no-one was hurt, and the damage was minimal - with mere scratches on the driver's side.

The bus would then arrive at the team hotel Steigenberger in downtown Leipzig at around 3pm.

Real sensation Jude Bellingham was not named in the squad for the clash and did not step off the bus.

The news comes after Bellingham suffered an ankle injury in the 4-0 trouncing of title rivals Girona, having earlier bagged a double in the win.

However, Leipzig boss Marco Rose is not buying it as the 47-year-old, who previously managed him at Dortmund, believes he could still feature.

“I don’t believe he’ll be out until he’s not in the stadium tomorrow,” Rose said in his press conference.

“I know Jude, he will do everything to play the Champions League game. He might see other doctors today in order to be fit. I’ve read a lot but we’ll see if he’s here or not.”
