Fans spot heated moment between Jude Bellingham and Vinicius Jr during Real Madrid vs Celta Vigo

Fans spot heated moment between Jude Bellingham and Vinicius Jr during Real Madrid vs Celta Vigo

The Real Madrid duo had a heated moment.

Fans think they spotted a heated moment between Jude Bellingham and Vinicius Jr during Real Madrid’s 2-1 win over Celta Vigo on Saturday evening.

The 15-time European champions made the 596km trip to Vigo for the La Liga match.

Kylian Mbappe opened the scoring with a stunning effort on 20 minutes, but on 51 minutes, Williot Swedberg levelled the scores after missing several earlier clear-cut chances on Madrid’s goal.

Vinicius Jr handed Madrid the win with a calm finish on 66 minutes to send Los Blancos joint-top of La Liga with El Clasico rivals Barcelona.

Despite the Brazilian’s best efforts, Bellingham could not help but show his frustration when Vini Jr dribbled towards goal on 41 minutes. The 24-year-old opted for a shot, which headed wide, instead of setting up the Englishman, who was free at the back post.

In the seconds that followed, Bellingham could be seen muttering to himself before kicking the floor in frustration.

Fans were quick to weigh in with their opinions on the incident.

One said: “He thinks that he is the second coming of Lionel Messi.”

A second added: “Fabrication”

With a third saying: “It’s called football.”

Despite the distasteful moment, Bellingham provided the pass to allow Mbappe to simply assist Vini Jr for the winner.

Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti was questioned about the incident by journalists after the final whistle but was quick to downplay talk of a potential feud between his players.

"He's [Jude Bellingham] contributing,” he told reporters.

“I didn't see what happened with Vini Jr, but he has a lot of guts and a strong character. After the game, I saw them talking and laughing. I don't think there will be any problems."

Last season, Bellingham played in a more advanced role, even playing as a centre-forward at times. However, since Mbappe arrived in the summer, he has dropped back into the ‘number eight’ position.

As a result, he had not scored in six La Liga games. But his manager is not worried.

“Bellingham's position has changed,” he added.

“The idea was to go in more with him from the second line on the right wing because, in previous games, Celta [Vigo] have suffered with balls to the back post. I liked Bellingham a lot today."
