Jude Bellingham created Real Madrid history vs Napoli that not even Cristiano Ronaldo managed

Jude Bellingham created Real Madrid history vs Napoli that not even Cristiano Ronaldo managed

He's going from strength to strength.

Jude Bellingham continued his excellent start at Real Madrid with another impressive performance in the Champions League on Wednesday night.

Bellingham, 20, scored yet again as Real Madrid beat Napoli 4-2 at the Bernabeu to maintain their perfect record in this year's competition.

The former Birmingham City and Borussia Dortmund midfielder showed another side to his game, scoring a bullet header to put his side ahead after Rodrygo had cancelled out Giovanni Simeone's early goal.

It was Bellingham's 15th goal in just his 16th appearance for the Spanish giants, with the England international also setting up Joselu with an assist later in the game.

Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti was quick to praise Bellingham after full-time.

"He's spectacular in getting into the box, he comes into the box like a motorbike," Ancelotti told Movistar Plus.

"It's surprising because nobody could have imagined such fast adaptation here, to this club and the football he is showing.

"He surprises the fans, teammates and even rivals."

Bellingham's goal against Napoli also created a new piece of Real Madrid history, with the English star achieving something not even the great Cristiano Ronaldo could manage while he was at the club.

Bellingham is the first player to score in each of his first four Champions League appearances for Madrid.

But he is not yet perfect, that's at least according to Ancelotti.

The Madrid boss says there's still one area he needs to improve.

"Bellingham is a young, serious professional," Ancelotti added.

"He's adapted well to the dressing room. He has to improve his Spanish. As I've said many times, nobody is perfect!"

Bellingham will hope to continue his excellent form when Real Madrid face Granada in La Liga on Saturday.

Ancelotti's side are currently top but only above surprise title challengers Girona on goal difference, with Atletico Madrid and Barcelona four points further back.
