Fans in disbelief after Jude Bellingham spotted singing x-rated chant at Ewood Park on Boxing Day

The Real Madrid man was in the stands for Blackburn Rovers' 2-2 draw against Sunderland.

Fans were left stunned by what Jude Bellingham appeared to chant while watching the Championship match between Blackburn Rovers and Sunderland at Ewood Park on Saturday.

Bellingham, 21, was in attendance for the Championship fixture as his brother Jobe, 19, played the full 90 minutes.

Unlike in England, La Liga, where Jude turns out for Real Madrid, has a ‘winter break’ with Los Blancos not in action until a trip to Valencia on January 3.

On Saturday afternoon, the game was an end-to-end affair, with the home side taking the lead through Yuki Ohashi's strike on the 13-minute mark before the visitors levelled the score when Chris Rigg scored on 51 minutes.

Just four minutes later, the Black Cats went ahead via Wilson Isidor. But in the dying embers of the game, Blackburn's Harry Leonard equalised to rescue a point for the home side to keep them in the play-off positions (fifth place).

Despite the entertaining on-field action, fans were left baffled by what Jude did while watching from the stands.

The Sunderland fans who packed the Bryan Douglas Darwen End burst into a rendition of ‘Alan Shearer is a w****r’.

Of course, Shearer, who is the Premier League’s record goal-scorer (260), was part of Blackburn’s Premier League-winning team that captured the title in 1994.

However, he moved to his boyhood club and Sunderland’s’ arch-rivals, Newcastle United, in 1996 before going on to manage the club.

So, it is fair to say Shearer isn’t the most popular man on Wearside.

But someone who could be growing in popularity is Jude, after he appeared to join in with the Sunderland fans’ X-rated song.

As the camera panned to the England international, he could be seen mouthing the words to the chant. However, he did appear to be joking rather than doing it maliciously.

Fans on social media were quick to give their thoughts on the incident.

One said: “Jude Bellingham sat at Ewood Park, singing ‘Shearer is a w****r’ is not something that was on my list of things I’d expect to see this Christmas. But here we are.”

Another added: “Haha, no way.”

A third commented: “Absolutely class!!”

A fourth explained: "Always liked Jude Bellingham."
