Mason Greenwood and Jude Bellingham were involved in an alleged incident during Getafe vs. Real Madrid.

Journalists in Spain have detailed Mason Greenwood's response to Jude Bellingham's alleged offensive remark.

Greenwood's Getate faced Bellingham's Real in a La Liga clash on Thursday.

Los Blancos ran out two-nil winners as Joselu bagged a brace to send his side to the top of the table, two points clear of Girona.

But Getafe vs. Real was marred by an apparent incident involving the pair of English players.

In the second-half of the league fixture, Bellingham tackled Greenwood then appeared to aim an offensive remark, which ended up on social media.

However, it's claimed Getafe and Greenwood do not want to fuel the controversy over the supposed insult.

Guillermo Rai states the message from inside Getafe is 'what happens on the pitch stays on the pitch'.

Jose Felix Diaz reports the Manchester United loanee does not want to create any 'fuss' regarding what Bellingham potentially said on the pitch.

Despite Getafe's stance, La Liga have confirmed they have received a complaint from the club.

A statement read: "Getafe yesterday transferred the complaint to the La Liga match director and La Liga, as it always does on these occasions, has requested an expert report on lip reading to investigate the matter and act on the basis of what can be proven beyond doubt (by the lip reader)."
