Mbappe produced a match-winning performance in the Champions League.

With his quick feet, explosive pace and deadly finishing, Kylian Mbappe is a defender’s nightmare.

The France international produced another match-winning display on Tuesday as PSG beat Real Madrid 1-0 in the first leg of their Champions League last 16 tie.

Mbappe score a brilliant solo goal in the final moments of the game to secure a deserved victory for PSG at the Parc des Princes.

The 23-year-old ran Madrid’s defenders ragged throughout the match, overshadowing seven-time Ballon d’Or winner Lionel Messi.

Fans have spotted one moment during the game which highlights just how hard it is for defenders to nullify the threat of Mbappe.

In the clip, Madrid defender Eder Militao is attempting to mark Mbappe in the centre of the pitch.

The Frenchman initially drops short for the ball with a series of quick turns, leaving Militao unsure whether to follow him into midfield.

The Brazilian eventually opts to move closer to Mbappe but gets his timing wrong, allowing the forward to turn him just as a ball is played over the top.

Mbappe uses his pace to race clear of Militao and almost latches onto the through pass.

Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois narrowly beats him to the ball but can only spill it back into play, almost allowing PSG the chance to score.

Mbappe would eventually get his goal in the fourth minute of injury time, beating two defenders before finishing past Courtois to secure PSG a crucial first leg lead.

Following the victory, Mbappe has reportedly been made a huge contract offer by PSG which would see him become the highest-paid player in world football.

The Independent claim PSG have offered him a deal worth significantly more than £500,000 a week and closer to £1m a week.

It is said to be 'by far the biggest' contract offer in the history of football.

PSG are desperate to keep hold of Mbappe, who is out of contract at the end of the season.

The Frenchman has been strongly linked with a move to Madrid but the Spanish club could struggle to match PSG's huge contract offer.

Mbappe is yet to make a decision over his future but his camp are said to be 'receptive to considering PSG's offer'.
