Fans think Ibrahima Konate was about to do Cristiano Ronaldo's 'Siu' celebration in Liverpool training

Fans thinks Ibrahima Konate was about to hit the 'Siuu' celebration in Liverpool after nailing a training ground drill.

Liverpool resume their Premier League campaign on Saturday following the international break as they go to the Etihad to face Manchester City.

They'll be looking to return to the win column having suffered a shock defeat at Bournemouth after smashing Manchester United 7-0.

The Reds have been going through their paces ahead of the big clash against Pep Guardiola's side, with Liverpool's official Twitter account sharing pictures of the team in action.

But it wasn't his piece of brilliance that got people talking as Liverpool and Man United fans think he was about to perform Cristiano Ronaldo's iconic celebration before pulling out.

Konate's celebration sent social media wild.

One Twitter user wrote: "He was about to go SIUUUUU but then remembered he is in Liverpool."

A second tweeted: "For a second there I thought he was going to do the Ronaldo celebration! Haha."

Another noticed: "Was about to hit the siuu then he saw the camera."

The 23-year-old could redeem himself if he delivers a stellar showing at the back against the Blues and keeps Erling Haaland quiet - if he features.

Liverpool currently occupy sixth place in the league and are seven points adrift of fourth-placed Tottenham as they continue their quest to qualify for the Champions League.
