Liverpool are set to opt for a bold change of colour scheme next season by adopting a bright pink alternative kit from the start of the 2018/19 campaign.
The Reds are currently two years into a six-year deal with current kit manufacturers New Balance, who have won over Liverpool supporters with their vibrant yet retro designs so far.
However, next season's third kit is definitely set to divide the Anfield fanbase, judging by the photos leaked on the ultra-reliable kit website Footy Headlines.

As you can see in the image above, Jurgen Klopp's men are set to play in a "Grey Violet" strip from next August - or, pink, as it's known to me and you.
The colours have never been used in a football kit by New Balance before now, and it remains to be seen whether or not fans in Merseyside will take to it either.

Footy Headlines, who are usually pretty reliable with their kit news, have their information from Twitter user fumlerRawk who has provided information on Liverpool kits in the past.
Last season fulmerRawk revealed that Liverpool would go back to the retro green and white quarters from 1996 and this season it is the Red's away kit. The Twitter user had a go at mocking up what next season's shirts might look like:
With purple and green and pink and grey amongst their kits next season there won't be too much clashing with other teams when it comes to their alternative kits, even if their red often clashes.

Just how well the new colours will go down with the fans is anyone's guess but if they've bought some of the previous incarnations of kit then there's no doubt they'll be plenty ready to spend their hard earned cash.
