Liverpool fans want Jordan Henderson sold after he's asked to pick between Mohamed Salah and Bukayo Saka

Some Liverpool fans have jokingly called for Jordan Henderson to be sacked after he was asked to pick between Bukayo Saka and Mohamed Salah.

Henderson and Liverpool didn't exactly enjoy their usual brilliant season over the past nine months or so, with Jurgen Klopp's seven year curse hitting them a bit.

It was probably something less mysterious than a curse in reality and just the fact that the midfield was slightly ageing and not firing on all cylinders.

It's no wonder that Klopp has set about refreshing the centre of the pitch already with Alexis Mac Allister on his way to Anfield for a bargain price.

Henderson is unlikely to be leaving this summer even if the club sign a whole host of midfielders, with two more linked to arriving on Merseyside.

He did though come in for plenty of criticism from his own fans, with the captain being called out for his performances and even singing the national anthem.

The England international managed to annoy supporters with his thoughts after the Reds had been smashed by rivals Manchester City as well.

But he's left the ultimate disrespect for the postseason after being asked to pick between Saka and Salah and refusing to make the choice.

"The disrespect from Hendo to think Saka is close to Salah so he can’t pick between them," said one.

"This is supposed to be our club's captain or another Hendo? Would Odegaard do this to Saka? I'm embarrassed," added a second.

On the club vs country debate a third claimed: "How is he sitting on the fence between Mo and Saka. It's not even a debate and should always be club before country in all matters."

"The biggest mistake Liverpool ever made was making him the club's captain," exclaimed a fourth.

"Captain of the team and can't even support his own teammates, ship him out man what does he even do," replied another supporter.

And a sixth wanted Henderson to go back to his former club, commenting: "I beg Sunderland get promoted and take this clown back. I can’t do it anymore everything about him really irritates me."
