An extended version of Jimmy Bullard's bust-up with I'm A Celebrity camp mate Adam Thomas has emerged ahead of Tuesday night's episode – and it explains why the pair got into a heated argument.

Bullard has returned to the jungle for I'm A Celeb All Stars, a spin-off series of the ITV show that has been pre-recorded in South Africa, but his time on the show has been overshadowed by an incident with Thomas.

As you can see from the footage below, the former Wigan and Fulham midfielder was taking part in a Bushtucker trial as hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly watched from the sidelines.

To kick things off, Ant explains that partners will be selected by taking stones from a bag, and Bullard ends up picking former Emmerdale actor Thomas before embarking on the so-called 'Rancid Run' trial.

“One half of the pair will be locked inside the cage at the end retrieving cogs from an abacus, using only their tongue. Once you’ve got a cog, all you’ve got to do, pass it to your partner,” Ant explains.

However, as the trial begins to heat up, Bullard doesn't move as his camp mates were being bitten by ants.

“Boys, I don't think I've got it in me,” Bullard tells Ant and Dec while Thomas is attempting the task. He then utters the famous words, “I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here" and the trial comes to a halt.

Bullard apologises to Thomas, who was visibly frustrated by the decision to call off the trial. "You're joking me, bro?" he said. "Jim.. come on man! Jim... don't do this bro."

Moments later, a furious Thomas kicks the set and straight walks over to Bullard. "Are you f***ing taking the p***? I am in there getting covered in f***ing ants," he said, before Bullard replied: "Whoa, calm down. That's pathetic."

Thomas and Bullard are still not on speaking terms, according to The Sun.

In fact, the former Premier League footballer may not attend the show’s final on Friday as a result of his feelings towards Thomas.

A source told the publication: "Adam totally lost it. He started screaming at Jimmy, calling him a c*** and every other name under the sun.

"It was completely unexpected and deeply shocked the other campmates, including Jimmy who didn’t see it coming. Adam is intensely competitive and was taking his jungle return very seriously."

The source added: "He was frustrated by what happened in the Bushtucker Trial and lost his temper."

Scarlett Moffatt said ‘lad banter’ was source of tensions in the All Stars camp

Speaking on a media roundtable, former Gogglebox cast member Scarlett Moffatt compared her time in the jungle in South Africa to the Australia-filmed version of the series.

"Because we’ve all done it, I was like ‘oh, this is going to be a doddle.' It was a lot more intense," she said. "It was hardcore. It wasn’t as harmonious as the first time I went in, only because I think we were all such big characters.”

Moffatt continued: “I think a lot of it is this thing with like – and I’m going to put it in quotes here like ‘lad banter’. But banter is only banter if it’s with like consenting adults, if everyone participating wants to participate in the banter."

“I think sometimes some people didn’t want to be involved but were even though they didn’t want to be," she added.
