Fans on social media are loving Jack Wilshere's midfield masterclass in this year's Soccer Aid.

The former Arsenal midfielder is pulling the strings in the middle of the park for England, with people online loving his showing so far.

Wilshere, who retired at the age of 30, produced a first-half performance like his early form at Arsenal, where he shone as a teenager.

He cut a composed figure in midfield and showed off his range of passing as fans reminisced over his stellar outing at Old Trafford.

One Twitter user wrote: "Jack Wilshere has still got it."

A second tweeted: "Jack Wilshere controlling this game. Take me back."

A third added: "Jack Wilshere is balling out fucking love him."

A Manchester City fan commented: "This throwback with Jack Wilshere. Was a generational talent, injuries ruined his career ffs. Remember I wanted us to sign him so bad during the Pelegrini era."

A fifth said: "This could be a Jack Wilshere masterclass."

Wilshere graduated from Arsenal's youth academy and played 197 games in all competitions for the club.

He joined West Ham United then Bournemouth before signing for Danish club AGF.

The ex-England international called time on his career in July 2022.
